AMD, Intel Dual, Intel Pentium 4???

So overall what is better here? I understand that the dual processor is would be faster for running multiple applications but what about the Intel Pentium 4? If I was getting a new system and wanted speed which one of these is better? Thanks guys!!

Bump. i hope someone answers. I am looking myself for new notebook and am stymied by the same problem.I found the best deal on an amd but have always gone intel pentium in the past. Also, all the new systems have the vista installed. i have heard nothing but problems with this operating system.

I know this is the easy answer - but seriously. google is your friend. type these questions in google. Tons of websites spend hours and hours testing your questions out and publishing them for free. A great site is Tom's Hardware.
